Profile of the

Board Chairman

Herbert Krapa is a Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Energy, where he focuses on driving Ghana’s Energy Transition Plan and sustainability in the energy sector.

He was previously a Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, leading Ghana’s international trade agenda. Prior to that, he worked as the government’s lead spokesperson on Governance and Legal Affairs.

Herbert is a lawyer with extensive experience in corporate and commercial transactions, international trade and energy law. He is also a lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law, where his research focuses on constitutional law and legal philosophy.

Herbert holds a Masters Degree in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Masters Degree in Development Finance from the University of Ghana Business School, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Rights Law from Fordham University, New York.

He is a member of the Programme for African Leadership and is deeply passionate about Ghana and Africa’s transformation.
