The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Central Region, has deepened its engagement with the media through an interactive session aimed at sharing the Company\u2019s strategic focus for 2025\u20132029 and outlining what it means for customers across the region.<\/p>\n

Leading the discussion, the General Manager for the Central Region, Madam Tamara Asomani-Wiafe, described the meeting as an opportunity to openly discuss ECG\u2019s priorities and reaffirm the Region\u2019s commitment to reliable service delivery.<\/p>\n

She explained that ECG\u2019s five-year strategy is anchored on improving revenue mobilisation, delivering reliable and quality power supply, reducing system losses, enhancing energy efficiency, improving customer satisfaction, and strengthening operational performance.<\/p>\n

Bringing the strategy closer to home, Madam Asomani-Wiafe highlighted practical steps already being implemented in the Central Region. These include deliberate visits to suspended and disconnected accounts, closer monitoring of High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LV) lines, and ongoing upgrades to parts of the distribution network to reduce losses and improve supply stability.<\/p>\n

According to her, these measures are not just technical interventions but deliberate efforts to ensure customers receive dependable power while safeguarding the resources needed to sustain operations.<\/p>\n

A key highlight of the engagement was the introduction of the New Franchise System. Under this initiative, Meter Readers will now provide additional support to customers, including assisting with bill payment processes. The move is expected to bring services closer to communities, make payment processes more convenient, and improve overall customer experience.<\/p>\n

Madam Asomani-Wiafe expressed appreciation to the journalists for their continued partnership and responsible reporting, noting that the media plays a crucial role in keeping the public informed about ECG\u2019s initiatives and progress.<\/p>\n
